Hello, I'm yet to buy a FireStorm but I'm hopefully going to see one at the weekend, so fingers crossed

A bit of history... I recently sold my 600 Bandit which was my first bike, had it about 2 years and been all over, including Catalunya for the MotoGP as part of a two week tour with my girlfriend. Anyway, it was a great bike and did all I asked, but time to change. I fancy trying a V-Twin, they seem to make sense as road bikes, having the power where you want it. And of course there's the noise

I've looked at quite a lot of VTR's online now so getting a feel for prices etc, but, how would you lot value a 2003 in good condition with low miles?

i strongly recommend you take one for a good test ride before parting with you cash if you've never road a big vtwin before as they aint for everyone ,,bit of a marmite bike as they say .

A 2003 F2 or F3 model £2300-£2500 for something of 10000 miles or less and a few nice extra's.

Be careful you know what your buying, there's a lot of older models late registered which have the smaller 16 litre tank, there should be a sticker on the subframe under the seat which will state the model. Clocks are also different between the early and updated model too.

Yeah I couldn't figure out the difference before but found it mentioned on here somewhere. It's got the right stickers (Honda on tank, FireStorm on fairing) and clocks, but I'll have a look for that sticker too.

I'd like a test-ride but my local place doesn't offer them. I'll have to look around and see where else has one. I'm in Macclesfield if anyone is nearby and wants to show me a nice one/let me ride it around a car park.

It's not a yellow one so looks like I won't need to keep saving up haha

I started with a B6 which i loved as long as you kept the revs at 8K+ then it sang . moved up to a B12 but found it too heavy for my small frame. Moved to the VTR & wont look at another inline 4 again

Well I'm from Pontefract, then I moved to the Isle of Man, now I'm back in the UK in Macclesfield.

That's the thing, I liked revving the Bandit lots at first, and on track it was fun too, but I was starting to get bored of changing down and screaming past people for a nice overtake. I just want to roll on!
