Fuel warning light not working ??

Post by leevtr »

As title. Tried 2 different senders. Checked connector plug. Only thing I can think of is the bulb in the dash, but is it changable ?? Looked at fuses.

Unless anyone has another idea ??

Its that bloody 19ltr tank Lee :? , needs selling to me  . Highly unlikely that both senders are faulty mate? Can you earth out wiring to bypass sender to put light on? Or any broken wiring?

The bulb is a led and unlikely to fail . Have you replaced the fuse ?

I had a look at the fuses under the seat, very quickly to be honest. I have a couple of other bulbs on the clocks out...wondering if theres a loose connection amongst those in the nose of the bike.

Have you taken the front fairing off and checked the connector for the dash, maybe it's corroded or burntout,

Connected live straight to the frame, bulb works, came on straight away. Tried a third sender, no luck. Did continuity test on a couple of them, no faults found. It's a fcukin' mystery !!

So have you run through al the tests on page 19-24 in the manual and it's still not working.

Page printed ready for next time. The manual is on my laptop but the bloody battery is knackered so its a pain to use in the garage.
