rear shock
rear shock
hi all want to replace the rear shock on bike was wondering what shocks I can use and if any other bike shocks will work on it. thanks
ride it till the tires fall off then keep going !!!!!!!
Re: rear shock
No, there are no shocks from other bikes that are a direct bolt on... They all have either the wrong fasterners, the wrong length/stroke or entirely wrong spring/valving...
You can get an f4i or 900RR shock and modify it heavily with billet parts, making it longer, and change the valving... Or have it done for you... http://www.daughertymotorsports.com/vtr ... 1000f.html or, you can go for whatever aftermarket option you like, Hagon, Ohlins you name it...

Re: rear shock
Only heard of heavily modified CBR F4i rear shock done in the States as a replacement to the OEM shock.
Try a search for rear shock on this forum and see what aftermarket shocks are recommended

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Re: rear shock
Just as a side note... I went this route... as good used aftermarket options at the time were harder to find than hens teeth.Tweety wrote:No, there are no shocks from other bikes that are a direct bolt on... The Reworked F4i shock is a dream to ride... the work and set up so good,,, I just had Mr daugherty set up a set of forks as well.
