Just read this whole thread in one go. Im going to steal your idea and start my own thread about my Daytona. It sounds like you got a good bike in the end though.
Jeez that must have tooken some time. I like the idea if you stating your own thread. It's nice to read about members bikes that are not a Storm. As I have said to others, just because one has sold their Storm does not mean that one has to leave the forum. It's not as if you have never owned one so still know the in's and out of the Storm and still have something to contribute regarding them from your experiences. I do think we could do with another section on the forum for threads like this. Other bikes or Non VTR's or something.

Crash bungs not arriving till next week I said I'll wait. Apparently the forks are sh1t hot and it runs sweet.

I'll let you all know how much it all cost.

Feel free to hazzard a guess.

Full check and service. Fitting forks and new r&g crash bungs.. The old one (one was missing) was a screw in jobby and I didn't like the thought of that.

It felt great on the way home from the bike shop. Mainly motorway and dual carriage way so was able to open it up a bit. I wanted to take it out on a proper ride but had to get home to get the kids :x Need to get out and get used to it

I'm closer to getting into the leathers. I put them on today and I could actually move and breathe. It's still a bit tight around my belly but not for long.
