Morning Guys/Girls,
I'm looking to buy a Firestorm in the next few weeks, and have a few questions (which have probably been asked a 100 times each time someone like me comes on board )
Q's...
1. things to look out for when looking (were there any recalls etc)
2. what's the bike like for a pillion? (short and long-distance)
3. does anyone have a picture of the bike without the tailpiece?
4. how easy is the bike to work on (accessibility etc)
5. were any years better than others?
6. does anyone have pictures of a black firestorm that they could email me?
7. any pointers/advice welcomed...
TIA
Goose

Hi Goose
Welcome on Board
There's plenty of the Coool Fast Black ones in the gallery to look at. Here's the first one I found
http://www.abercon.co.uk/vtr1000/displa ... =my%20baby
Not much to worry about really the cam tentioners are the only weekness and my wife hates the rear seat with a passion
50 miles is about her max
The bikes not too bad to work on and it turns out bucket loads of torque so it's an absolute hoot to ride
No recalls (That I'm aware of)
Slight cosmetic changes to later ones, including different clocks , an extra couples of litres in the tank and slightly higher handle bars. The engine had some minor changes not sure of the exact details but not enough to worry about though.
Cheers Pete.l
