Another thanks benny thread

Post by seb421 »

Thanks mate for your time, help and work carried out today

Sorry i couldn't keep up on the roads bit unnerving trying to keep pace as i didn't know the roads at all, few more trips and ill be up there with you, That SP2 sounds a wombles daemon too when behind it :)

Not sure what mod has made the bike feel the best but it feel's like it pulls a lot harder now, there is like a surge of power 6K i say a surge and mean a surge there is no flat spots before it it pulls upto 6k very well just when you hit 6k it feels like it hikes up more power all of a sudden and very quickly

Thanks again, very much like the throttle mod too, should stop any wrist ache as well that don't have to go adjusting the wrist position on grip on the move now to get more out of it

I owe you a beer or what ever it is men in black S&M leather drink

Would have joined you all the way to Southport and know the roads that way very well but was brassing for a sh1t so had to get back

Hope there was no unmarked about and they was busy with the queen jubuile Richard, every time im out with my dad and he gets on the gas i get that awful feeling you get when the summons comes through the post, i should have gone the way to yours you took me so much easier and quicker than the motorway, dam sat nav!

Its a washer but not a normal round washer, its like a 1mm shim of plastic that goes under the cable and runs from one side of the notch to the other, i'm not good at explaining but only took him about 20 min to shave down plastic and cut the required piece and then fit it and pack it with some grease, its wombles mint mate, i was a bit worries at first thinking oh god im gona get on the gas and bin it, but nah its wombles mint mate, they should have been sold with a larger diameter cable winder as standard

I'm sure carl could knock it up for in no time at all

the Coils are very very neat indeed as well, very good craftman ship from benny blending the old cap with the new one and shaving for a perfect fit, looks the best ive seen so far

youre welcome seb - glad you like the mods :)

the throttle mod, a'la tony.mon works very well.... all i use is a 7mmx60mm strip of 1mm nylon plastic cut from my o'ring box.
feed it under the retutn cable and with a bit of patience it goes right round the throttle cam without having to remove the throttle tube or cables.
then fill the top housing with grease which eventually works its way down the cables for a nice smooth action.

on my storm i have the rc45 (rvf750) throttle tube And the 1mm spacer :) is a bit er extreme

also had a look at seb's tps and found it reading 880 ohms at rest... fully adjusted to the left it dropped to 489 ohms, which is a bit more like it :)

chaps, if youre in the area feel free to bob round on a sunday (fettling day) - with any minor jobs and tweaks you may need doing.
apart from this sunday coming as i will be in misano watching the wsb

btw matey mine runs sweet as with the new plugs in - bloody well think so too for £22 each lol 8O
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
