I'm up for one

Not worried about the smaller one.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Stainless in the austenitic group are considered non magnetic, other stainless in the ferretic and martensitic groups are considered magentic. They are both stainless whatever way you look at it.

something like 303 is non magnetic but can turn magentic after cold forming/ cold working processes.

316 in bar form is non magnetic but 316 that is cast is slightly magnetic

316 against 416 are equally good grades, one is magnetic, the other isn't but the choice differs according to the use of the material. You cannot harden 316 but you can 416. Once hardened something like 416 is harder to demagnetise.

Titanium is tough and not hard, you can machine it with the same tooling geometry as aluminium just a lot slower. Stainless is also quite a soft material to machine.
Why ask... sometime you just go to do it and find out?

Doing my best chaps, first chap was no help, so I am now in contact with a company in scotland.
It would appear that the larger of the two caps/bungs is quite a rare size/thread. Don't know why this should be caus it is metric, but we shall see. It will deffo be a special order, so unfortunatley that = expensive
But the more we get the more the price will come down (hopefully?)
Will keep you posted! :biggrin

Wow those slipper clutches look good. And those oil filler cap with dip sticks are cool, reasonable price as well. I wonder how accurate the dipstick is. It's a shame those flebay covers don't have the smaller timing mark cap.

Have Fun

(:-})

Just notice they are Yamaha oil caps. Will they fit out bikes?

They look like anodised aluminum.
Some idiot put pro-bolt bolts in the water pump on mine and two of them snapped off.
Luckily they came out easily but dread to think what could have happened if I was on the motorway at the time.
