modified top yoke

Post by spider13 »

as above has anyone done anything with the standard top yoke to accept a set of straight bars, just seeing iff there is a cheaper way around this rather than shelling out on expensive conversion units, and any pics would be great

This is what I did to my CBR6 after dropping it at Silverstone.

Risers from eBay. Just needed to drill 2 holes in the standard yoke to accept them.

I just drilled the std yoke and bolted the risers on - just have to choose the positioning carefully with the casting webs underneath.

this what im thinking of doing i think 3inch risers should just clear the top of the forks, but may also use ones that pull back a bit

Wouldn't have thought so. IIRC the forks are different diameters between the VTR and CBR.

I could be wrong though? :D :confused

That's different to the 2 I've bought...so can't be certain it will fit. The ones I've got were specifically listed as super 4 parts...flat face on the yoke and just holes for the risers to bolt to.
