Funnily enough, I have just done my CCTs, just ordered headstock bearings today, and will order the fork oil and seals next week once the bearings are done :)

I guess we're in the same boat.

As for CCTs, they're easy really. I muddled through mine. If you really dont know what you're doing, and no one with better knowledge than me is doing a workshop day, then ill come and give you a hand to do yours if you want.

Looks like we have a volunteer to host one, are you in, Bazza, Jonesy, AMcQ?
It would have to be a sleepover, though- too far to go in a day and return.
Sounds like a weekender, with a rideout on the Sunday, tbh.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Haha

Well, at the bottom of my drive is a 10 acre or so field. You could all come and camp in that?

Deal.
Can you lay on a band and marquee, possibly a real ale festival and topless bike wash?

I have all of these at my own W/S days, of course, along with massages from Thai ping-pong ball artillery specialists.

I'll bring a shim, just to get you started.

depending on dates I am up to help.

could even plan a re-run of the midlands one , as there are a few new faces who could do with the help to get the confidence to do the mods over the winter.

flatline your task list: CCT's and you may as well do the valve clearances when you re in there, and put the take off for the front carb balance. then add the head bearings and a fork rebuild and you have a long days work planned there...........could be a 10 cuppa session :D

I would be up for a workshop day. Im fairly ok with doing the CCTs again, and with the head bearings and fork springs and oil, but I wouldnt know where to start with the carb balance and checking valve clearances.

The field across from my house would be ideal for people coming and camping, the only problem is my garage is quite small single garage with a workbench (fixed) which doesnt leave much room. Also - I live between Leeds and Huddersfield, which I imagine for some of the southern guys would be a very long way to come, though, there are some excellent roads round here up in the dales, peaks and even over to Wales so may be worth while?

will be needing them back soon tbh as i plan on trying my uber cams in the sp
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Sounds like there is a fair bit of interest.

Amcq45, I'll get the list ready.

Miztaziggy, I would be happy to come over and thanks for the offer of help

I have a big tent that can be used

Amcq45, what do you mean.."put the take off for the front carb balance"?

Finally, off to Squires tonight, anyone going look out for a "S" reg silver one with high levels and a rack

Maybe if we get a gazebo, we could put up a 3m x 3m sized one in my back yard for 2 bikes, fit 2 bikes in the garage and another 2 on the drive we could do it that way?
