Hey Guys

Post by dogfish66 »

Just got a FS for £800 off the bay of so to bomb around on whilst i do my other bikes up.

Its a 98 in silver with 14k on so me and the missus can get out on w/e's and to do a few track days on.

I'm in Harrogate in Yorkshire so if there are any other stormers in the area drop me a line.

I understand from reading various section that there are a few essential mods i must do which i will go into in another section.

so i'll say hi and bye and hopefully speak to some of you soon

cheers

Have a look in all the workshop threads to work out what needs doing on the cct's, and enjoy the summer(if there is going to be one!)

Welcome to here. I thought I got mine for a steal. I paid £950 for mine, she's a little tatty but she's slowly getting there with a bit of helpful advice from the guys here.
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes, I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

Welcome aboard Dogfish66

CCT's (cam chain tensioners) are your main concern, and if your's is the earlier 16ltr fuel tank model then check out the rectifier. If it has no fins then change it for one with some. Other than those two things, normally going on the Firestorm is a pretty reliable bike.

hi bud... we very often pass your way on rides up north and may well be doing so this weekend if you fancy it.
depends on the weather tbh, will either be heading up toward whitby or south into wales depending on forecast on the day.
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Hey Guys

Hi mate, I live near Huddersfield, but my office and parents house is near tadcaster, so I'm up that way quite a bit. Will definitely be up for a ride out into the dales or north York moors...even down the a66 to brid if you're up for it?

Hi, and welcome.
Especially as the price you paid makes the £400 I paid for a red one earlier this year seem a good buy.

But as I'm now trying to sell it for £1350, I'll thank you to keep that to just you and me.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
