I take it you have seen this weeks MCN.

Are you all ready for the massive update list for the 2005 VTR 1000 Firestorm. :D

DIFFERENT COLOUR PAINT ON THE FORK LEGS. 8O

I have waited so long for all the up dates that were going to happen to the firestorm.

What a relief they are all here now

So Suzuki have ducked up the wonderfull TL1000s with a very poor selling SV1000

And now!!

Honda have done duck all to update the Firestorm

...don`t forget the matt black paint. Saw one in Verona 2 weeks ago and it looked shite. Goes OK on the Monster but not on a 1/2 faired bike-just looks cheap!
Actually, looks bloody good on all Italian bikes particularly the RSVR Mille Haga rep!!
(Hope I have some money left from my house sale.......)
.... no more bike, divorce sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pity about that, you'd think Honda would at least have beefed up the forks a bit
Ohlins shock, Goodridge lines, 6-pot calipers, carbon fibre hugger.....and all at someone else's expense!!

I love the matt black paint!!
I just got mine 2 months ago, fitted it with SilMotor carbon exhausts (Italian brand) and it looks great!!

The only things left to do is fix that suspension and maybe put on a 15 tooth sprocket

I just checked with a friend at Honda Europe (located in Belgium) and he recons that there will be no major changes made to the storm before 2007!!
Except maybe the colour of the fork legs

Hey, you are in Belgium too?

Post by bluesman »

I noticed you are in Belgium ? I am working here too. Living near Tervuren, in Vossem!
Sorry - my Flemish are horrible, as I am not belgian actually, work here for lat 3.5 years for an international IT company...so I better stick to English.

BTW - my dealer (Honda Borremans) said just same thing. No change for next 2 years unless big plans will change.

Is this last weeks MCN... the one I didn't buy :? Oh well, they seem to make up most of their stories anyway.

If my experience of trying to sell my 2002 storm is anything to go by then there isn't much point choppoing it in unless you p/x at the dealer. Had it for sale in the classifieds for months and no serious offers :(

I think they are missing out on an opportunity to make a good bike that bit better (suspension sort out) and possibly a sharper looking fairing.
Mind you I didn't expect them to change the engine as they would lose out on the big bucks they are making on the cct's

Cheers
