Rear Sprocket 42 43 45?

Post by BHarrison »

Hey guys, I'm wanting to go up on my rear sprocket. I like the twisties and dont need the top end. What's the general favorite of the rear sprockets?

Also, are there any other bikes rears that will fit the VTR?

954RR? F4i? 600? etc.

THANKS

I understand a stock rear off of a CBR1100XX would fit, and that is a 45 tooth.

Where are you guys getting your sprockets?

HI,
CBR 600 fits 43 tooth got 1 myself. WOW what a difference. God knows how the 45 tooth off 1100 would be. If you find out let me know.

To change the gearing. Lower gearing = more torque at the wheel, and less top speed.

I just put a 15 tooth sprocket on the front, i think its about equivalent to losing 2 teeth on the back, made loads of difference, didnt need to take the back wheel out and best of all cost just £10 new from my local bike shop.
Well worth considering.
