Martin's Wake.. details for booking hotel now included

Post by theflyingpig »

Hello Everybody, a date for your diaries.

Martin's wake will be held at my place the last weekend in March.

You will be welcome to arrive Friday 26th March, to allow all of you who wish to come via bike to at least have a break and a wee ride out on the Saturday.

The actual ceremony of giving Martin a warriors send off will begin 6pm on Saturday, 27th March, followed by a barby.

You can either camp or book into the Bridge of Cally. Bring your own booze, I will provide the food.

Just let me know if you are coming, PM me if you need the address.

Much love

i hope you are well and the snow was kinder to you than it was to us or you'd be snowed in where you are for a while, lol.

Bridge of Cally looks a bit steep, you may also want to try the B&B's in Cally or even Blairgowrie for a cheaper rate.

Anyway, looking forward to those who can make it. I'm hoping that I'll be able to film the whole ceremony, as you'll imagine it will be something to see. So don't worry if you can't make it. Tim, if you are coming up remind me to give you some sponsor money for your RBL ride.

Much Love

As ever, time flies.

I need to get myself organised, so would appreciate if all who are able to attend, to pm me. I will provide the food, just bring your own beverage (tea and coffee is available if that is your tipple). I will be offering everyone a nip to help toast the big man, so if you have a prefrence, let me know.

I'm looking forward to seeing all those who can attend, and if not, lookout for the pictures/video after the event.

Much love to you all.

I can't believe I let this pass
It's been a few weeks of bedlam for me in work and I can only apologise for not remembering the date. I've been so wrapped up in my own life Marty's wake passed me by. I had fully intended raising a glass to the big Man on the Day, Sorry Norma.
Well, He's not forgotten, and I've got a glass in my hand as I type so Here's to you Marty!
Rest in piece and God Bless.

Hi Norma,
I had been thinking about you all, even though the site was down at the time. I do hope Marty had a really good send off.

RIP Marty.

Chris.
