SP1 trip

This has happened a few times, everytime I refuel I reset my trip so I know when to start looking for a garage.
But a few times when i've stopped, come back to the bike, switched on and the trip has reset to zero.
Anyone got any ideas?

Yep agree with Mike, battery earth/live loose.

I'll check the battery connections tomorrow, ta for the suggestions.
