Battery cover?

Post by bingo808 »

Hi
See pic. Is there meant to be a cover of some sort over the battery/battery terminals?

Image
Someone put it together, so I should be able to pull it apart.

The bit you still have clips in to the main undertray which forms the bottom, sides & back of the battrey box.

The bit that is still there is missing the flap which covers the top...

Well, I managed to snag a 2nd hand battery cover off an ebay seller in the USA.

Wasn't cheap - the actual part US$11 and postage and import duty was around US$33.

davidsilverspares.co.uk wanted this...
80110-MBB-000 £102.96 to order
Postage via DHL £35.10

But why did you bother? It can't be seen, and these aren't collectable, therefore worth more when bog standard?

Because it's missing a part and I'm one of those people that has to have things in order. :D :D :D

True, I could of just covered it with a cut-out bit of soft plastic. It's all good don't worry.

Same here I'm the same when it comes to my storm. I also think storms will become more collectable just look at CX500 prices. :D
