Temp gauge

Advice needed please, my temp gauge stopped working its moves to the first line when ignition is on but dosnt go beyond that , any ideas ?.

Mine did exactly this. I thought it was the gauge itself and replaced it, but the issue remained. In the end I tracked it down to the ground for the sender which is the ring connector with a plastic shroud over it sitting on top of the thermostat housing. I cleaned this connector up and the gauge returned to normal operation.

What ever the issue was it decided to correct its self as its now working again .

Mine did this to begin with, and returned more and more frequently. I'd undo the ground on top of the thermostat and clean up the ring connector anyway – no dismantling required and only takes a minute or two.
