Cure for clutch rattle anyone??

My clutch grumbles and when I pull the lever in it don't .

If the noise disappears when the clutch is pulled in then it has to be the clutch, and isn't the cct's.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Awesome, I think I just have a bit of clutch rattle then and its not the CCTs :)

Thats a good bit of news. Still going to test for stopper mod though and change the clutch fluid whilst Im at it. Might help a bit.

Since I started reading this thread, I have really started to take notice of the clutch rattle and its driving me mental now lol.

no clutch rattle or any other kind of rattle on mine or my frined that i ride with who also has a storm
bikes bought dead or alive crash damged , none runners , abandond projects

I don't have a puncture, and it doesn't pull to the left under braking.

What doesn't yours do?

my 98 does the same pull lever in the noise will go just ordered a set of microns with removable baffles that will do the trick :thumbup:
im worried when i die my wife will sell my bike for what i said i payed for it

Replacing the clutch centre needle roller and top hat shaped sleeve on the clutch shaft will quieten it a great deal, but it never really goes away.
It's a combination of that bearing and the play in the clutch plate tongues as they sit in the basket.

I thought they all did it, i cant hear mine any more i use ear plugs cheap and easy :?
1998 black vtr (mods cbr900 fork conversion, ohlins rear shock, ohlins steering damper, prolite discs brembo master cylinder, goodridge braided lines, harris rear sets, Quick shifter,Mario Fairing, etc)
