Helped balance out the expensive bits!

Also realised after I'd put it back together that I forgot the little fork seal protector things! Found them on the bench afterwards!
Good excuse to chuck a fork brace on

If you don't want to pull the forks off again there are aftermarket split ones available.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Doesn't take long to get the forks out and back in so will do it at some point. Going to have another look to see if I can find the cush rubbers before I go and order more!

The picture doesn't quite show the truth! It's not the best cosmetically when you're close up. The forks and wheels are great as they've been painted. Calipers cleaned up good and there are a load of new bolts. Will sort the cosmetic stuff in the winter!

The bike is black so knew this was the colour of spring to go for!

Chain & sprockets arrived today to, so got pretty much everything I need to get it running. Never fitted the bodywork yet though, so hopefully no bolts missing. Think I might be one indicator short, but that's easy enough to fix.

If Nitron shocks are half as good as they look they should be well worth having 8)

As much as I'd have loved Ohlins, WP, Penske, etc, they were about twice the price.

That would have taken me well over what the bike should be worth when it's finished.

Just out of curiosity ... how much was the shock and where from ?
If you don’t mind of course :D

It was £460 direct from Nitron. You can choose the weight of spring and it's colour at no extra cost. Then there are other things like remote preload you can add.

Kind of thought it looked a bit too good to be a budget item
