Hello From Nottingham

Post by Kendarr »

Hello,

I went to a dealer today, too look at a VTR and an LT1000. I purchased the 1998 Honda VTR 1000 in Red. This is going to be my "project bike" in the garage.

Thank you.

Thank you for the welcomes!

Sadly the dealership has a 2 to 3 week turn around before the bike gets delivered.

Does anyone have any good suggestions of things to check once its delivered? I looked at the standard stuff like cam tentioners etc. I am planning to do the 500 on it in September.

A credit card for fuel may help with the 500.......

Replacing the Reg/Rec with a mosfet is a good call. If you’ve time the forks can do with better springs/oil and there’s an mod to improve them listed on here. Other than that general consumables.
