Kind of new

Post by masterdave »

Hi guys, I used to be fairly active on here a few years ago when I last had my storm (2012) which I sold to another member in here. I've been on and off bikes for a few years and then been in a wheelchair since January when I had an accident at work. Been out of the wheelchair for about a month now and have brought myself a little CB500 1999 to get used to riding again as am lacking a lot of lower body strength. Would love to own a storm again some day, I miss mine terribly.

Hope so, although my goal was to build a bike to run a 9 second 1/4 mile this year which obviously hasn't happened, so that's also in the pipeline as well! Always missed this forum as it's a great place to get help, advice, and laughs

Hi Dave,

I received your PMs but you can't receive my reply (maybe your inbox is full).

I really appreciate you getting back in contact.

Welcome back.

Welcome back Dave.
Lots of rehab and hitting the gym for strength trading does wonders for rehab work.
Stay on your dream of getting back into things even though it may take time. The rewards are worth the effort.
Best of luck. :Beer1:

Thanks again for the kind words and encouragement, as soon as gyms open (Wednesday) I'm planning to start but will be a slow process as just walking/standing is hard for more than a few minutes. Luckily riding a motorcycle is actually very comfortable!!

Here is a picture of my old storm, what I would do to have it back exactly as it was then
