Installing manual maual cam chain tensioner on my VTR1000F

Post by jandl »

Hello

I'm from Norway and new on this forum.

I have a question about installing manual CCT's on my 98 VTR1000F.

The end of the new tensioner that makes contact with the cam chain guide are very small compared to the stock tensioner, (will it fit?) see attached photo.
Can I install it directly like this or do I have to take of the end of the stock tensioner and put it on the end of the new one?

Hope anyone can give me a quick answere!

Be fine it only contacts on the chain guide & that only moves in & out, no vertical movement the chain is doing that on the other side.
Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...

Mac's right. Don't try to refit the metal cap that is on the end of the standard cct.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
