Hi Guys I have to admit I have very limited experience being involved in a forum so please excuse me.
I have joined this forum and must be honest here to help me achieve my goal which is to turn my 2004 vtr into as best I can a scrambler but at the moment I am stuck at the first hurdle I have obtained new manual cam chain tensioners but am struggling finding out the correct fitting procedure I would be grateful if someone could point me in right direction to obtain said information.
Thanks for reading this

Read through at least 3 times before picking any spanners up...

Take it slowly, step by step, do not try to take any shortcuts...

Hey guys thanks so much for pointing me in the right direction 😀.
I have to say that my fat hands don't help with working on my vtr but aren't honda's well engineered mine has done 30000 miles plus but the cams hardly have any marks on them.
The link that I was given for the cct replacement is spot on thanks.

Hi Guys I have managed to fit the cct,s but I seem to have a fuel leak
Carbs
Carbs
Well it's pouring out of the two pipes inbetween the carbs photo above. So it's not strictly a leak it only does it when turning engine over I wonder if it is the float valves sticking but I didn't touch the carbs apart from removing them and then replacing.
Any one got any idea?
Thanks for reading.

Those are the overflow vents from the float bowls. So yes it does sound like either the floats or float valves are sticking.

Check your oil for fuel dilution before you run the engine.

Guys I am not a clever person it turns out that the bike standing for 2 years didn't do the carbs any good so my main mistake was to not take the bowls of and give them a clean to be honest the float valves were seized with green corrosion I should of known to clean them. Heyho life is a lesson.
