Logging in with chrome

Post by Pete.L »

I've been trying to log in on my laptop all night and my user name shows in the registered users list at the bottom of the page but I can't see any unread posts when I do. The screen behaves as if I'm still not logged in and behaves as if I'm still unlogged. ???
Obviously it's okay from my phone. Anyone have any similar issues?

I was having an issue earlier logging in full stop. Every time I pressed the login button it just refreshed the page. Also chrome.
If you don't try you never know if you can do it.

Same here. I uninstalled Chrome and reinstalled it, then used the forgotten password reset and it seems to be behaving now.

Weirdly, it was not accepting the login details, and looking as though I was being kicked back to the login screen, but at the bottom where it shows who#s logged in, may name showed as logged in.
Not sure if it's related but Java was giving me error messages saying that PAPPly or smoething was no longer supported. Don;t know if that's connected.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Auto login doesn't seem to be working (after ticking 'remember me'. I've deleted site cookie and restated browser but it still needs logging in every visit.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Phew!
Not just me then. I was starting to wonder if I had been hacked for a minute.
It was a bit disconcerting to see my name on screen and not being able to actually log in and do anything

How do you navigate to the site each time?

I'm guessing that you are using a shortcut or a saved favorite kink that uses a plain http:// link. When you log in, the redirect will use https:// . It may not seem like a big difference but it is to your browser. The site should only create a cookie assosiated with the https:// link. Therefore, everytime you use the old shortcut or favorite that uses http:// it will be as if you are not logged in.

Edit your shortcut to use the https:// prefix.
