Re: Latest forum software update

Image
It is an issue with the base forum template.

It isn't just a Firefox issue as it appears using Chrome as well.

Latest forum software update

Folks, Apologies for any down time you may have experienced this evening. There is never a good time to do it but I thought I would just go for it on a Friday evening. I have update the forum software to the latest version so we should be right up to date with the latest security updates. A usual, p...

Re: Cornering

Hi All, I have had a 2000 firestorm for a couple of months, when I turn it the bars push a bit on my inside wrist, it seems worse when slowing and a bit better when opening it up. I just got am MOT and have a new back tyre that did make it a little better. Are they all like this, can anybody help i...

Re: givi hard luggage pictures needed

This is the instructions for mounting the Givi topbox rack. As far as I'm aware they didn't do an official pannier mounting kit so if you have one it may be a DIY addition.

Re: multi bike ins

I was with eBike for years as well (only for the one bike though), I only left them when their online site became non accessible, and an heavy increase at renewal for no apparent reason two years following. Out of interest is eBike's online site, where you used to be able to access and make changes...

Re: multi bike ins

I've had a multi-bike policy through eBike for years. For me it makes it easier as I only have one policy to deal with and I've made changes to the policy over the years without being charged an admin fee. I haven't changed bikes for a while so I don't know if that is still the case. What you don't ...

Re: brake issues after freeing up bobbins.

Spongy feeling on the front brake can be down to one or more of the pistons sticking in the caliper. Periodic cleaning of the calipers and pistons is a must (especially riding up here in Scotland). Only take one caliper at a time and with four pot calipers try and work on only one side of the calipe...

Re: Heated Grips

I ride all year round up here in Aberdeen so heated grips are essential safety equipment as far as I am concerned. If you're distracted by cold hands then you're not paying full attention to your surroundings. I've been using Oxford "Sport" heated grips for the last 8 years (similar look t...
