You were very fortunate mate, your front tyre needed replacing! I must admit I did'nt know alloy banjo bolts are meant for racing bikes only, although after thinking about it does make sense, thanks for the tip,
cheers Chris.

ins and race cans
Yeah you're right Scorpion's do sound great, i've got them on mine. As far as insurance goes some companies don't like them and others don't mind, i'm with Carole Nash and it was not a problem,
cheers Chris.

non starter
Rex, I would test the battery to see if it did actually charge, if you turn the head light on does it light up ? then if it does try pressing the starter button with the lights on, if the head light dims drastically then I would say you need a new battery, if not and your symptions still persist the...

I sealed my exhaust joints with a heat resistant silicone which someone recommended to me which will come apart very easy if you need to strip it down, ie mot time if they're race cans. I think Halfords supply the required sealant, its made by Locktite, product 5920 copper high performance silicone ...

I dont suppose this will help but just in case, When I purchased my bike secondhand from my local dealer (sold by him when new) I only had one key with it. Thanks to him he'd had the foresight to write the number of the ignition key on the Honda hand book when he first sold the bike. If you've got t...

GRANTY
Well said Del, Granty you'll find most bike mags/ newspapers don't rate anything other than the most up to date full on sports bikes RACE REPS. I know its unfortunate you've had one or two minor problems so early on, but I think after reading your posts your main issue is that you are not being fair...

Re: one happy new owner/member
I have Scorpion high level s/steel oval race cans, rear foot pegs spaced out with alloy spacers, not to loud but a nice deep exhaust note, you will need to replace standard indicators with mini ones but well worth it, hope this helps, Chris. just got back from picking up my new firestorm :D part exe...

This is the most mouth watering thing I have seen yet for the VTR1000. I just can't figure out how much it is!!! http://www.magic...

My Storm had a coolant leak from the drain pipe (which is attached to the waterpump housing) I dont know if this is your problem, but when I saw a leak it would be more accurately discribed as a few drips which I only noticed when I put the bike on the side stand, it dissappeared as quick as it appe...
