Don't ask.

Can't you just cut along the length of the shrink wrap and retro fit it? [emoji2957]

Re: Jamoi's Storm

Figured I'd update this thread, as the bike has just undergone another round of renovation! I bought my bike back a couple of years ago, after Grumpyfrog looked after it for a wee while [emoji6] Since the last post here I have done the following bits: Clutch plates Brake pads All fluids Filters Spar...

Re: How to install a fork brace.

I'll be putting my front end back on (with brace) in the next couple of months, I'll also be following your guide Hawk [emoji106] I know it doesn't help if you need pics sooner, but I can take photos as I go? Sent from my GT-19505 using Telekinesis Well it has only taken me 10 years to take the pho...

Re: Anyone replaced their plug caps?

I think the photos are a bit old, so no longer work. I've just done it myself, so that proves how straight forward it is [emoji1] Can you solder wires? Yes, soldering no problem! Well that's the hardest part. You literally solder 2 wires together, hey presto! I'll give you a shout as soon as I've t...

Re: Anyone replaced their plug caps?

Sorry Donut, I hadn't forgotten about you. I've just fitted my stick coils, but I will not have a chance to test them for a few days.

Once I know I no longer need my 2 spares, you can have them for the postage cost.

As Al says, it definitely seems the way to go.

Re: Anyone replaced their plug caps?

Not sure if the part code might help you? I was thinking about replacing the caps, leads and coils. But I've just bought some CBR600 2003 stick coils as an upgrade (there's a great write up on here by Lloydie). I bought x4 stick coils, so have 2 spare to sell. Here's that part number anyway: https:/...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

*yesterday* Checked valve clearances (on the tight end of spec, but will be fine until next winter), checked cam chain tension which still haven't needed adjusting in 20k miles. New spark plugs, cleaned carbs and replaced the broken choke nuts with ally nuts, new air filter. Today's to do list: Repl...
