Re: This could get messy (comes with a health warning)

dont know what you can do about the smell, but to get it dry you need to open the phone up and take off any covers and teh battery, then put it in a bowl of rice [dry, not cooked or left over from the local takeaway]. The rice absorbes all the moisture, and the phone should work. I would then recomm...

Re: was going so well!!

And I know it makes matters worse, but looking at the lack of damage to the screw head, it happened quite close to home! My mate is a builder, and when we load / unload the trials bikes into his van, I notice that screws lying around on the floor of his van sometimes fall out on the road in front of...

Re: What a difference 1mm makes!

OK, further updates. put 2/3 of a turn more on the ride height adjuster, but it is clearly more than a 2:1 ratio from shock length to rear wheel movement, as I could feel the bike much higher when I sat on it, and also the angle it leans over on the side stand was clearly changed. Steering was faste...

Re: How many times have you been stopped by a bike cop?

Never been stopped by a bike cop, but rode down to Portsmouth and then round Brittany for 4 days with 6 of the West Mids finest motorcycle escort riders. They like to ride their bikes just like we do.........if you stick to the limits in built up areas and road works, dont ride like a tw@, show good...

What a difference 1mm makes!

After a good thrash last week end I decided that I would have a fiddle with the suspension ride height, as I didnt feel like I had enough front end bias. Over the winter I had fitted Roger D modified forks, and dropped them 3mm, and I had fitted a WP rear shock with the adjustable ride height 3mm lo...

I can only agree with both comments SOme of the other Forums are crap as they become dominated by the "in crowd" and the rest of us leave if we have any sense! I have only stuck around 3 forms for just that reason, But this is the one with the best balance between supportive /helpfull /kno...

Re: Your First Bike?

Twinrider. Like the sound of the aluminium beam framed CR500, is it in MX or supermoto trim? if MX I have to ask why, are you mad, do you like replacing rear subframes when it grips and flips?? if SM, yes you are mad, but I would love to try it on B & C roads. please post pictures Phil-VTwin, ve...

http://i734.photobucket.com/albums/ww348/amcq46/Bike%20collection/XL100.jpg . This was my first bike, which was bought new as a farm bike, but me (13) and my younger brother (12) wheelied, jumped and crashed it into a an early grave [but not as fast as Timbo!], whilst my Dad was still using it to r...
