I know that feeling. My soldering iron is a POS. Been meaning to pick up something better, along with a dremmel, torque wrench and an unending list of other tools!

No other damage, good news! My security chain locked up and stopped the rear wheel from rolling so it didn't go all the way down thankfully! But the mirror is completely broken and not repairable so need a new one.

Not sure, I was away from home last night and got a text from the housemate. Hopefully nothing else as I finally feel I'm getting this bike to where I want it to be.

Bike got knocked over by the feckin wind last night so right hand mirror broke.

Good time to throw better mirrors on. So, what else fits the Vtr? I've heard R1 mirrors are a direct bolt on and improve things. Any others?

It really is! And for what it costs vs. it's effectiveness I can't think of any reason not to do it.

I had that too (on new auto ccts, changing them soon). Did the stick coil mod and havent had it since......

Got the mod done. That front connector is a nightmare to get to! Starts so easy now. Cheers to everyone on here for the help.
The coils are a little wobbly on the plugs in even with the cut up boots, but I'll sort that out.

It's more for the starting for me. I've replaced the starter, the battery and the reg/rec and still struggles to start on a cold morning without being on the trickle charger all night.
