Tango'd Storm

Haven't been to the forum for quite a while. Some of you may remember pics of a streetfightered Firestorm a couple of years ago. Back then it was still in its original Jerez blue paint, so thought I'd update the forum with latest photos... http://i1083.photobucket.com/albums/j383/martinarcher/Old%20...

Thanks very much Chris.

The rad was a complete PIG of a job, but worthwhile. You can see it needed some mods, which were carried out by Earl's (the hose people) at Silverstone. They're a great bunch and very helpful.

Hey Yella me fella, I think you’ve missed the point by a country mile. Firstly, good as the Firestorm is, it’s never been highly rated for sharp handling due to the shortcomings of its suspension, particularly at the front end. So, it makes sense to sharpen the bike up by changing stuff. And let...

Alan, that makes sense. The key is to get the bike as stable as possible while keeping the swingarm unhindered so allow the pivot shaft to be removed. Good luck!

Best thing to do is support the bike under the engine so that the rear wheel is off the ground. That will allow the rear end to sag and "unload" the swingarm. I used a hydraulic hoist with a wooden block between to two so as not to damage the exhaust etc. I also took the precaution of usin...

Thanks for the info Chris. Kinda simple really...

I've posted four pics of my streetfighter showing both front and back end work. Go to the "Workshop" folder and look for the blue ("teal") naked Firestorm.

Where do I start... Basics: First thing is to get a decent set of forks, possibly from ebay where I got mine). Then decide what front end configuration you'd prefer in terms of yokes, bars, brake calipers, discs, wheels etc. My recommendation is to go for a total transplant. I decided to keep the st...

I've just fitted a GSXR750K2 front end - don't know if information on that conversion's of any use to you? It's a fairly simple job. Why are you going the Blade route?
