Re: Fork compression damping question

Hi Terry, I've been into other things recently. The 2 turns out seemed to make a difference but I've been carrying out essential maintenance as a priority. Simple things like an oil change were stymied by my inability to get the oil filter off. Just now got back from a local shop who used a steel st...

Will check the forks asap. Confused with the manual though. It looks like the top of the fork damping ad...

Re: Fork compression damping question

Thanks for the replies guys. I didn't realise it was rebound adjustment. I'll check things out and have a fiddle. See if notice any difference.
Cheers

Fork compression damping question

Hi People, I'm beginning to put a few miles on the fella. I'm replacing a few bits and doing some general maintenance. My question is regarding the fork compression damping adjusters. It's a 98 model. The front is a bit of a bugger on bumpy roads. It feels far too harsh. I know it could be too much ...

Re: Back seat stuck

SUCCESS!!!!! Thanks for the photos guys, couldn't have got it without those. Massive help!!! For future reference and in case anyone else does this, the cable from the lock has to go over the top of the bar on the subframe, like it does in alec's photos. Mine was under and there was too much slack ...

Re: Greetings from Northumberland

The pic was from Wanneroo Park (near Perth, Western Australia) in about 1978. It was open class "C" grade. "C" grade was equivalent to Club grade over here. B was National, A was international. It was a modified 500. Home made pipes and angle iron welded onto the swingarm, PZ4 on...

Greetings from Northumberland

An old ex road racer and Enduro jockey here. More used to two stroke singles and IL4s but... having had a great deal of fun on a twinshock Honda XR600 and, way before that, a Ducati 750GT (late 70's) a quick test drive persuaded me. It's a yellow 98 model. Good tyres, fairly clean but with a few rus...
