Ian, Hadn't been on this site for a while & just found this thread. Sorry to hear about your crash. Here in the US it's the "left-turners" we bikers have to worry about. Your injuries were terrible, but so glad you survived. So many reports of cyclists killed here in Virginia this summ...

Well said, Pete. These people, like the Nazis before them, must be be relegated to their place in the ash heap of history. You can't reason with someone who is willing to blow themselves up. The world they want is one of intolerant adherence to their view of the Koran. They seek a golden age of Isla...

Front End Clunk when braking - need Input!

Need your mechanically inclined input: My VTR has developed a distinct & audible "clunk" sound & feel when coming to a moderately hard stop. Started since I put tires on a couple weeks ago. It occurs right before I stop. I can feel & hear it as the fork reaches the end of its c...

Cool deal, vtrgirl!
You kids have a blast w/ those wheelies. 8) I'm too old to start learning to do that high wheel $#~* tho'. 8O I know a lot of good riders who've crashed doin' that stuff. So that's probably in your future; just be aware, there's usually a price for the thrill. Eyes wide open.

Been tryin' to get my head around this crash. I'm not gonna start riding like a woosie. Too boring. Looking back tho', I'm gonna...

Truely a pain of the heart.
Oh, reminds me, made another mistake that day. Got home & told my wife I crashed "my baby". Jealous she is. Two crashes in one day is too many!

Friday: the new Dunlop 208ZRs arrived, set up install with a buddy for Tuesday nite. Saturday: got a couple hours, decided to burn up the remaining tread on the old tires. Bad idea. A touch too much speed, a 100 degree right-hander and an 80 ft. strip of gravel & sand that's three feet wide on t...

Hmmm...cops in car doing 115MPH. Sounds quite dangerous to the public to me! And they call it "public safety". Over here in the states we have a lot of "cowboy cops", more enamored of their authority than the law. They'll risk the lives of innocent bystanders just to catch a spee...

Pete, Too bad you couldn't at least have gotten a Mazda Miata, or such, for the Smokies, since a bike was out! The Miata Club goes thru there every year they seem to have a blast in those things. Check out this site. http://www.tailofthedragon.com/ I'm headed to West Virginia for a couple of days th...
