Hi AM There are lots of companies out there who can help you. I buy my domain names and webspace from this lot: http://www.1and1.co.uk They are cheap and I've never had any issues with them. The first year's registration for a .co.uk domain is 99p, then 2.99/y. Peanuts. Basically you go to the websi...

Mine's 7x5 too. Bought on ebay a couple of weeks ago, it fits nicely between the high-level pipes and doesn't look *too* blatantly illegal.

That 90 degree v-twin decal is exactly why I didn't do full rear number boards - It was showing through the vinyl and I didn't want to tear it off...

Good luck Mike!

Mike I just searched for signwriters on the yellow pages website and wandered down - asked them for some white vinyl (I told them what I was trying to achieve) and they cut off a big 2m by 1.3m piece for £7.50. Then I cut some pieces, stuck them on the bike, then cut the vinyl in place. I wasted a ...

Cheers fellas. I don't mind the colour, I quite like custard. I've had a silver one, and an orange+purple one (which was later black) so I'm going through them one at a time - the yellow one is the fastest so far. No wrinkles - there were a few tiny bubbles but I've either popped them or pushed them...

DIY number boards

Hi All I decided to create some DIY number boards by going to my local vinyl shop and buying some white for £7.50. The inspiration came from two sources: First: At the 'Ring, a driver I respect called Thorlief Nilssen had his M3 CSL wrapped entirely in white, and it looked stunning. Secondly: The d...

Update: Serviced the rear linkage. One of the bearings in the lower dogbone linkage was totally siezed, and I had to hammer the bolt out with a drift. New bearings and greased the others, it's much better. I'm stunned at the difference fixing one siezed bearing has made. If you haven't looked at you...

Warby There's an interesting article here on Ducati's dry clutches: http://www.rebelpacket.net/maint/clutch_maint.html Many of their recent models have clutches that sound like that - since I found out what it was, it made me want one.... Some riders even fit a vented clutch casing to let MORE noise...

Has anyone been to see this £500 bike?

Has an engine problem, but some reasonable accessories - could be a good source of parts if nothing else!

Has anyone been to look at it?

Mr. Warning, I've just got the bike up on blocks at the moment - inspecting the rear linkage and some of the bearings were siezed. Replacing them will hopefully make a nice difference to how it feels - I should have the bits in the post tomorrow. I'll send you a message when I'm around for a ride ov...

Hi Teacup

Interesting. I will probably turn it down to the softest setting on the shock and turn the damping down on the front and do a comparison.

I weigh about 13 stone - what do people have theirs set to?

Does a failed VTR shock usually go springy, too soft or too hard?

Cheers!

Hi Andy

Much appreciated - I am in London today and will probably get back too late - but I will definitely take you up on your kind offer for another night!

I'll drop you a PM to suggest some days.

Cheers!

It looks great - very clean and shiny!

It also looks quite like my recent acquisition!
