Re: Loss of enthusiasm

And I have come off again - it's now 3 times since March. This time I was sat at the edge of a box junction waiting for traffic ahead to clear (in other words doing everything correctly). A lady is pulling out of the side road and turning right. She pulls out further and enters the box junction, eye...

Re: Loss of enthusiasm

Thanks to all of you, some really good ideas on here and it's nice to know that others sometimes have similar thoughts. The missus wants me to get a scooter as I need something for the commute to wk, albeit in the wet they're bloody lethal, but cheap to run. I guess I need to look at how much I am r...

Re: Loss of enthusiasm

Thanks both of you. Good point about the experienced riders and track days, I know loads who used to ride, but rarely do now. Don't get my wrong, i still enjoy it, but something has changed and I do get nervous now, especially commuting. 8 Bikes Benny 8O - Reminds me of that scene from Jaws when Qui...

Loss of enthusiasm

Earlier this year I had a pretty nasty accident on my old FZ6, not life-threatening, but a multiple rib fracture and my left hand is still sore and will never heal properly. Looking back there was absolutely nothing that I could have done to prevent the accident, the car driver just drove straight i...

Very lucky - Found this one linked to yours. He's either the coolest bloke I have seen or the biggest idiot, maybe a bit of both

Re: Picking the VTR up today!

Welcome Craig - I'm newish on here too, but you've probably already noticed how friendly people are. I've not been on an 'away day' yet, but I've already linked up with Kent's Tony Mon, he's a bit of VTR expert.

Re: BIKE SMASHED, NO MORE STORM

What an awful post to read, I hope that your brother is not going to get away with it. If you did 'beat him' he sounds like the sort of chap that would get you prosecuted for assault, so best avoid that idea. But as someone else said TWOC, Crim Dam etc etc are good options, but family.....horrid. A...

White / Red ./ Blue (Blade type colours)

22nd July 09.45am Spotted parked-up in Hither Green, looked like a blade with the colour speck, but as I passed saw VTR clearly written on side.

I have one too, as I am humanist I don't believe in any afterlife, once you die that is it, so anyone can have my bits (poor sods).

Re: VTR - First ride

Actually my bike is not running as well as I'd like. Met the brilliant 'V2 Professor' Tony Mon and MacV2 on Sunday for a bit of bike tuition and a quick ride. Basically gotta get my Headstock Bearings, Carbs and Brakes done - which until Tony explained was like Quantum Mechanics to me. But a least I...
