Kust test rode the VTR, i got it to the bike shop and it cut out on me mid bend. Earth is fine, Checked it about 5 times now, my bike starts, charges the batter at 14v on tick over then at 5000RPM the voltage drops to 13.3v with lights on and 13.6v with the lights off. Red one? Could you confirm my suspicions? Did you use long stalk ones or short ones like on the R1 R6 cos i was looking at fitting YBR125 ones off the rear?
Also did you just cut the inner panel so the rubber would just slot through then clip it?

Battery ordered, yuasa one to be precise, keep one i have currently as a spare, gunna fit an R6 reg rec soon if it doesnt get any better.

Already used it and it says everything is fine. I went through the checks in my haynes also and it all checked out apart from the Ohms test between each yellow wire read 1.2ohms instead of 0.2-0.5

Nope it already had a fireblade RR fitted to it, it didnt get that hot after 10 mins ticking over but tbh its charging the wrong way around, me and my mate (mates a bike mechanic a propper one at that)

Disagree, I'm afraid. Not about the pint, but if you're getting between 13 and 15.5 volts, the reg rec is fine.
