Re: Help me fix bumble bee
Urm, looks like the bike is terminal. Theres no rattle when cold, it wont rev over 5 grand without being very hesitant but will then redline then bog and cut out. When i try to restart it the engine locks up like the bike's battery has no charge, when turned over a few times it will then start again...

Re: Help me fix bumble bee
Benny the TPS was plugged in because i had to unplug it to remove my carbs. Yes i checked the timing for like 2 hours to make sure it was right and it is. I'll strip the carbs and have a look if there is a blocked jet in either, I have a dynojet kit too but I don't know what jets to put in etc. Urm ...

Re: Help me fix bumble bee
I think my timing is out, using the guide you posted my front cylinder lobes dont point to each other when i turn the engine 450 degrees.
They should be pointing to each other right?

Its no big deal, just takes a fair amount of time but easy to do. Like i said i'll jump on it tomorrow or sunday, i cant ride it on the road as it has nothing...

Re: Help me fix bumble bee
I cant really remember the process in which i did the change but i think i did what he suggested in his thread and locked the engine in place with a strap and ractchet. If it was 180 degrees out it would blow through my carbs which i dont think it is doing. It idles on tick over perfectly its just w...

Re: Adjusting APE CCTs
I've fitted my MCCT's off thepont, and ticking at 3000rpm-4000rpm is still there, i've backed them off and tightened them up, its a tiny but quieter when tight, but i just cant get to the bottom of it.
Also my VTR codename Thumper has eaten its front carb O-ring... yea i know.

Re: cct changs
Mine did that, Stretched cam chains was the only plauseable reason.
Time them up as close as possible and turn it over by hand 3 or 4 times just to make sure.

Re: Adjusting APE CCTs
Mine is fine till gets to temp, it ticks louder but my cam chain tensioners keep backing off quite alot.
Gunna fit these MCCT's but i thought you only have to hand tighten them up then lock it down. my cam covers are gunna be coming off anyway,
so will check anyway.

Re: New problem (sorry)
Got manauls from the pont, anyway, they both back off so they both need changing, they both twist when revved up so thats a double no no.
Fitting them as soon as i get my instant gasket later.
