Keep going Barry, the streets are paved with gold don't forget! Red Ken has basically given all the companies that run these things a blanket licence, running away again. Should be called YELLOW Ken, I detest the man. I've had him in the cab and he's arrogant and souless. THese things should ...

Blody Rickshaws!

Anyone ride or drive in Central London? Is it just me, or are those bloody things a menace to everyone? I drive a cab as well as being a stormer and I have nothing but grief with them. Most of them are ridden by illegals, contributing nothing to this country. They ride like complete twats even with ...

I raced my Storm for 2 seasons at varying tracks, including Brands Indy. Favourite track: Oulton, before the chicane. Brands Indy: Apart from Paddock, pretty boring imo. It's the best bike I've raced. It isn't the quickest twin out there, but mine handled really well, Parky front end and Penske rear...

The best way to sort out the suspension is at a track day, you with me on this Ben? When I was racing my Storm the suspension front end was done by Dave Parkinson and I had a Penske rear. The rear is superb, worth the whole of your budget imo, and then set up the standard front using different grade...

Welcome back Del! I'm with Del. He built the engine in my bike and I changed it after 1500m and it was still a rich brown colour.
If you need advice on cct's then Del is your man, but I can't see how they would make a difference to the colour of the oil!? :?

The Storms other Achilles heel (can you have 2, maybe a little difficult to walk at all!) If you've got a multimeter test the output with the engine running, as the unit is a reg/rec then if it's shot then it won't regulate the voltage properly. Also check the battery. Is it hot and has it bubbled o...

I've got Micron carbon ovals and you really can't beat the noise they make, and earplugs spoil it (I know I'm gonna go deaf).
Why commute on a Storm anyway? Why not buy a CB500 or similar and just keep the Storm for weekend blasts, money permitting of course :D

Sad though it is Kaz, I can't ride a bike on the road. I'm a danger to me and everyone round me! Ironically I've been pulled for both. First one was for speeding. Overtaking a few cars on the coast road only to find plod at the roundabout. They "guessed" that I was way over and gave me a l...

Well, racing beckons once again, and 2 pulls from plod :( mean that I'll take £2,700 for it. You won't find another quite like it I'm sure. If you want a Storm to do what it's supposed to do (wheelie, make yer ears bleed and pull in any gear) then this is the one. It sounds desparate but it's not. ...

Not sure about the single pipe. Well, it's not really a single pipe is it?
I think the whole idea of a big twin is to have two VERY LOUD pipes, or is that just me?
Mine has just been finished, check out the pics in misc. in the gallery and see what ya think.

Follow the thread on here about changing the reg/rec for a Yamaha R6 item. Seems to do the trick. Plenty of them on ebay and the like.

At last, I have it!

Well I've finally got my Storm back after many months in the wilderness. It's been with Del being transformed into a fire breathing monster! It's got Del's 120bhp engine with modded air box and carbs and the all important cam chain tensioner mod.(Del's own conversion) List of bits: Acerbis headlamp ...

Get yerself to a race meet or track day at Brands and have a chat to the riders. You'll definitely get loads of recommendations for local experts.

Cheers

Pilot Power on the back, Pilot Sports on the front. Many, many happies .
I'm with VTRgirl. I've always used Pilots for racing and they give excellent feedback. Not too hot in the wet though :(
