storms and PB

I read the latest PB, first thing i did was look at the Dyno chart for the st1 over a stock storm. They reackon 97bhp for a stock storm. Was at a VTR dyno day on saturday at Revolution(who tuned the ST1 storm in PB). The least we saw was about 104bhp from a storm. Granted most were running cans with...

Speedo sensor

Just checking here that my speedo sensor is fubar.
Followed the service manual checklist, and i get 4.5v constant on the sensor, should be 0 - 5v pulses as you spin the wheel, no open/shorts/dodgy grounds, so one i safe to assume the sensor is fecked???
Any one replaced one?

Fitting the 207RR's have made a HUGE difference the feel of the storm, that and slight change in riding style.
If you want a tyre that lasts an age get some Macadam M90's.
Dont wear out but grip is naff.

Ive dropped to around 90-95miles b4 the RLOD makes a show
Guess fitting the sticky tyres and only using it at weekends for blasts are bringing the consumption down.

Welcome aboard. The fuel light comes on mine after about 110miles and generally speaking you have about 20 miles to find a petrol station before you start pushing. Have fun Iggy Mines has gone from coming on around 110-115 to flickering around the 90 mile marker :( Reackon its due to a change in ri...

tyres and brakes

Running 207RR's on mine, nicely scrubbed, just got the last 10mm or so on the edge of the rear to go. lots of grip and lean. May have to tweak the penske now though to soften the rear a bit. Did pads at same time, fitted EBC HH's. They've transformed the braking, along with cleaning the calipers up ...

He's based up in Galgate, just outside of Lancaster and 5 mins from the M6.
His number is 07970915259
£200 for the fork tune
You can do a ride in/ride out or send the forks to him.
Well worth it.

Just stuck some 207RR's on this weekend. Previously running Macrapam M90's. Went out yesterday to start scrubbing them in. Had one minor slide from the rear on a bit of polished tarmac. First impressions, it turns in quick, very quick. Got caught out twice on a couple of bends. But it also feels a b...

cans an fings

At Northern Dyno day, best from a storm was 112bhp. This had art low level cans (i fink) but wasnt dyno jetted or K & N'd.

Mine put out 108 on standard cans with D/J and K&N, but running very very rich.

Buy an Optimate.
When i was using it daily, i would bung it on the optimate over the weekend.
Since its not been used for the past 4 weeks, it's sat connected, keeps the battery nice and fresh.
B4 i got the optimate, it seemed a bit slow to turn over, now it spins up fine.

I have a friend who would never put Avons on a bike especially when wet. I'd say if you were happy with them before then you know what you're getting yourself into. £125 is a pretty good price in anyones book!
Wet's not going to be a problem now, since bike will be a dry weather toy.
