Two things will help.

Put some plumber's teflon tape on the bleeder and give it a good final bleed. Then tie the lever against the bar tightly. I use a zip tie(as we call it in canada)

Keep the lever pulled in overnight. This will firm up your brakes.

Clutch problem

Hey Guys, I have an issue I think. I'm not actually sure, which is why it is an issue. I installed a new front sprocket this weekend. The problem is that when I pulled the sprocket cover, the muck made the clutch acuating rod pull out. It didn't pull all the way out, but about 3/4 way out. When I we...

2500rpm raw spot

All,

I have a 98 and I've got a real bad miss or something at 2500rpm.

I have not changed anything in a while and it just developed recently.

I have a set of D&Ds, stock filter and jetting. 40,000kms.

Any ideas? It goes away and runs like a champ after 3000-3500.

Jason.

layup

Hey, Here in canada, this is a ritual that we go through. :( Here is what I try to do: -Lift wheels off the ground -pull the battery, store inside on a trickle charger -put some gasoline preservative (sta-bil) That's it. Some blokes drain carbs, fog the engine, but this is only 4 to 6 months, so I d...

quiet

I have an RF800. I love it. Nice and quiet. Too bad the VTR and D&D isn't

there are tradeoffs to quiet helmets:

1. Less venting because by nature the vents make noise
2. Thicker and heavier (usually fiberglass or heave carbon and kevlar laminates
3. Hotter (esp. in Texas)

MV/VTR

Hey Del, The big Q: How much? I'm pretty handy myself. Sounds like a good solution. I've been looking to do this for some time. How well does the seat fit? How much just for the tail section (bodywork) and seat? Let me know, you may be a good solution. PS: SharkSkinz makes an MV tail nowadays...kind...

Hey! Wait a minute!

Your or otherwise that bike has an MV tail section. Did you (or whomever) use the MV subframe?

Anyone have a lead on where I could source on of these? Not easy to come by in canada!

Dumbass

This guy is a bit of a dumbass 8O 1) I ride to have fun, not to prove my manhood. 2) People choose to ride what they like. 3) the reason Harley people don't do 90mph on the highway when everyone is doing 65 is that a Harley can't get up that fast, and his paper thin electical tape helmet would fly o...

Why not D&D

Hey,

I've got D&D pipes made out of Ft Worth Texas, and I like them alot.

Might as well, only a few hundred miles away!

..and you don't need a full exhaust on the VTR. Won't make much of a diff. You can probably remove the restrictor out of the pipe if you want.
