Thanks, pretty well really. Had a stroke and carotid endarterectomy where they remove clots from carotid artery. But all is good. Bit fatter now. Still good looking best of all new bike coming next week.

Well, hello to old friends and new. After my failed attempts to get the yamaha xjr 1300 running i had to let it go. Now I'm officially an old fart (retired) have the time to get back on two wheels and join in on a few runs etc. I shall look forward to meeting everyone again Best wishes to all Paul

Engine rotates and brand new battery and fully charged too. Multi meter no use if I don't know how to use it. Old one really only shows if live wire. And circuit continuity so should be OK to start with.

So I have a basic continuity meter, so wiil check anything I can get at. Stupid question but should I disconnect the battery first. And should ignition be on? Can't see how it could be ignition though cos power gets to solonoid. Ie clicking.

so.....new solonoid, new starter and now new battery..................still get click from starter solonid but nothing happens. lights horn ok
what next ??????

Long time since last on here. but need some help. Have 2001 xjr 1300 which was knocked over in car park, been difficult to start ever since. So ignition on, press starter and just get loud click from starter solonoid. replaced that but made no difference, replaced starter motor with new one. still j...

I have PR4 GT front and rear, lasts quite well, front scolops a bit, 5000 on front and 4000 on rear.lot of life left in them. Ok in dry, Ok in wet dont think as good as all the hype....and they follow groves in the road. very sensitve to pressure. tend to run 36 f and 38 - 40 rear. Bit expensive whe...
