Re: Suspension Squeek

Then when you put it back together, fit the bolt from the other side and you never have the same problem again. Wish I'd done that. Good shout. I grew up on a farm, we always used the brute force solution rather than take more bits off. Brains too,eh? Gutted really. Was hoping it wo...

Re: Busted - WTF!!!

Four men, aged 50, 40, 32 and 27 were arrested on suspicion of the importation of controlled drugs and firearm offences. They were questioned and later released on bail pending further enquiries. Check. Tabs for the twenties, beak for the thirties, smoke for the forties and a handgun for the fifties...

Wills on a Duke

Seen this? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1381168/Royal-Wedding-Kate-Middleton-Prince-Williams-final-rehearsal-Westminster-Abbey.html Quite a nice bike and a decent Arai lid too but I wonder if someone might prod the heir to the throne with some sound advice - like get his leathers & bo...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Popped ROaS's manual CCT's in (couple of years past since I replaced the failed front), replaced oil, filter, air filter, plugs, balanced the carbs, gunked, washed and rubbed down. Smooooooth. :D

Re: Most unusual load carried on your bike?

 Great! So it’s not just former and current couriers who know how to load up eh? Fishing gear, pets (ouch) and warm pet food, cold beer (all the time), bumpers (me too, a Capri one from Midnight Motors), bushes, bike bits, TV's (that one is particularly impressive Tone!) and gliders! (wings f...

Belated welcome Gord.

Sugoii pics in front of Fujisan. Spent lots of time over there in the past, rode an FJ12 - The best scenery out towards Shizuoka and in and around Toshimaen. Do you still find still heaps of 400's abandoned under the underpasses in Tokyo?

Aye, but they'll let you go a bit quicker before nicking you too I hear.
And Luton have turned all the bus lane cams - not that I use them anyway.

Re: Sidestand

Ouch. And on a pretty silver one too. Aw. If you find lots of play at the pivot bolt end (and I've had some serious amounts of that esp. on VT500's, which leant by absurd amounds before tipping over), try replacing the pivot bolt and hammer/vice up shut the pivot jaw a bit - it'll take it if you do ...

Re: pain in hand

Indeed as the fellas mention, relax. Obviously yer height/weight etc can be a factor and for the first couple of rides, my thumb/palms were a wee bit sore too. Once you 'mould' yerself on it isn't a problem.
