Re: Commuting bike

Can't go wrong with a cbr 600, good on fuel, full fairing, sporty but comfortable, cheap insurance, good handling and more than fast enough for commuting, very easy to work on.

Re: dyno run today!!!!!!!

90.3 nm is 66.6 ft lbs. sounds about right for torque.

Re: Is mine big enough

I've had the reserve light on as low as 70 miles, when it's had a thrashing, if I drive mine sensible can get 110+ miles till light comes on. But sensible is boring with these..

Re: 43t rear sprocket.

I've not tried +2 on rear, on a firestorm, but my fireblade had a +2 on rear and it just fits with standard chain, although you will have a slightly shorter wheelbase. Defiantly worth it, gives a lot more grunt, although you will lose about 10mph, of your top speed, not that you need it, +2 on rear ...

Thanks

Is the 160mm air gap right as well? Is there any other gaps that work well with the hyperpro springs.

Re: Hyperpro front spings.

Thanks for the replys, so that static sag of 20-25mm is done with out rider on bike, just making sure that's correct, so I don't muck anything up. Anyone know if the joint plates need to go back in, (the ones that fit either side of the spacer) as there is no mention of it in the hyperpro manual, It...

Hyperpro front spings.

Hi, Just got some Hyperpro front springs, instructions say set to 22mm static sag, this is bike weight only, no rider( I thought it would be more like 10-15mm with no rider) this seems a lot to me, as with rider on bike static sag should normally be about 35mm? Can anyone clarify. Also it says to re...

Re: chain oil/grease

Maybe the vibration could be caused by the chain being out of alinement, and or not the correct tension. When checking alinement, don't rely on the marks on swing arm, as they always seem to be way out.

Re: chain oil/grease

I use wurth high performance dry chain lube, good stuff, Always wins the tests in ride mag etc. Would not bother with putting oil direct on chain, it gets a bit messy, you end up with more over your bike, than what's on your chain. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wurth-High-Performance-Dry-Chain-Lube-150m...
