i think its one of the small pipes on the bottom of the tank but not sure. we have a simillar problem at work on trucks if the tank vent gets blocked it causes them to stop because if air can't replace fuel in the tank as its used it causes a vacuum in the tank hope this helps going on holiday now s...

just an idea but check the tank vent isn't blocked if the air can't get in the fuel can't get out

I check the accuracy on all new bikes and cars by following a truck on a fastish road all large trucks have a speed limiter fitted accurate to 2% much more accurate than a speedo 10% and should be set to 56 mph max most vehicles ive driven / riden read about 60mph when following its not spot on but ...

I've got Harris rear sets on mine never noticed a problem with the heel guard. That could be just different riding styles.
