Re: Kagizume wavey brake discs
Got some Arashi ones on mine, they are chinese, but are machined perfectly .Had them on mine for a year no probs whatsoever, spend a lot of my time around machined components working in engineering, and can see they have been made well, guess its the old made in china stigma that sticks, nots so long ago ...

Re: stuttering idle speed
Chris, went with what the dealer said 1 on the front and 1.25 on the rear,it was still doing the same ie,1200 revs then a sudden drop to 800,then back up just as quickly, was a bit dissapointed to say the least,as my hunch had not paid off.Went back to thinking about what else i had done,i bought some...

Re: new owner of vtr but problems since day one, help.
Sounds like the starter leads on the way out,and probably the connection at the starter, get it stripped if you can,and replace cable annd connection bolt.Even better get a cheap starter off ebay, then when and if you need to strip the starter, you will have some replacement parts to make one good un.T...

Re: stuttering idle speed
Still searching for a cure, they are balanced, maybe i should just live with it,seems to have happened since i got the exhaust to seal properly, last year it was spot on.Dont want to spend any brass on it if i can sort it myself, but might come to that.Seems looking through various old threads that they...

Re: stuttering idle speed
Been down to my local dealers,he says it should be 1 turn on the front, and 1.25 on the rear, that makes mine a mile off, however this is for a 2000 model mine is 1998,he said that they are probably the same though, the original problem was how it dropped suddenly from 1300 revs down to 800,then back up...

Re: stuttering idle speed
Can anyone tell me what the pilot screws should be set at.The rear on mine is 3 and 3/4,and the front is just a 1/4,this doesnt look right to me,even allowing for the rear running a bit richer, cos it runs hotter.Has anyone got any settings(Turns out from fully seated)Thanks

Re: Hello my firestorm wont go over 6000 RPM any clues??
Had a similiar thing on mine last year, would not rev past 6000 revs regardless of gear,or through trying to coax it,took it up and down the motorway,no way it was gonna rev past 6,just hit a brick wall.As i was taking carbs off noticed that the front carb choke plunger had not been seating properly,...
