Re: Brake calliper question/s

Whilst having fun and braking increasingly late at Snettetton, my brake pistons seized. I overshot the hairpin and as I released and tried to get back online my front wheel washed out. Fortunately it was the hairpin and I was going slow. The warning signs were there. The front wheel wouldn't spin fr...

Re: I met DJWalker at Brands

The Indy suits the Storm well. Apart from a few hundred meters in fourth, it's 2nd and 3rd practically all the way round. The auto gearbox is my favourite thing about the Storm [emoji23] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk You still running the 16 tooth front sprocket, then? Hi Tony, I haven't cha...

Re: I met DJWalker at Brands

DJ did say that it was one of Mac's. He was certainly enjoying it. I think it was his first track day too. It's great to see another Storm and even better to recognise the person from his forum name. Plans are afoot for Donny. I've never been there but several mates say it's a great track. I'm buyin...

I met DJWalker at Brands

I haven't been here for a while, no reason other than not really riding doing much on the bike. It was great to meet another Firestorm track bike owner. There was also a third Firestorm at Brands yesterday, but I didn't see them. Sharing a garage with @DJWALKER was really good fun. I hope all is wel...

Re: 25th Anniversary Meet up. 9th July National Motorcycle museum

Sorry guys but I am not able to attend this time. As I am awaiting heart surgery in three weeks time. My wife and I feel that it is too long a journey to undertake at this time. Have great meet up and keep the VTR Firestorm alive and well. Safe journey to you all Good luck, Roger. Sending positive ...

Re: Time to give racing another go

So my first proper go at racing is done. Three days in the sun at Cadwell with a great bunch in the MZ 250 club. There were some ups and downs, in very quick succession at one point, but it was a great weekend that's got me thinking. I arrived Thursday night and got introduced to my bike, mechanic ...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Took the KTM for an MOT this morning and she passed! I double checked the lights and horn as I left my house for the mot... damn horn doesn't work! Quickly ripped the extra loud horn from old Stormy and connected the wires and cable tied it to the side of the bike. Where I had cable tied the tempor...

Re: Tarazon brake rotors

Got the new discs and pads fitted this weekend and rode a 200 km break in trip on my favourite b-roads. Everything seems ok. Stopped for a coffee and met a guy who - judging by his stories - invented Honda motorcycles amongst many other things  He commented on the new shiny discs and said: I ...

Thanks for the birthday messages gents! I'll let you off Mac, as it goes Frank sent me a card and signed your name in it [emoji6] My birthday plans didn't happen in the end, so I had the whole weekend by myself with nothing to do. Not too bad I guess... I washed my van, had a workshop tidy-up, gave...

Unfortunately, I'm still not able to ride on the track as the bones haven't fused and ned a bone graft so that's me out for the rest of this year as well. :(
Thank you.

I do hope you heal quickly.
