s'appenin, dudes?

Thought I'd better show my ugly mug before the summer starts and you're all off outside on your bikes. I stopped visiting this place (along with most other forums) after a pretty difficult personal time last November; the Firestorm got put in the shed and I spent most of the winter hibernating. Howe...

Updatage - I did strip the bike down on that fateful weekend, unfortunately it didn't look quite as I'd intended, so the fairings went back on. Still not sure if I might go the fighter route at some point, but for now at least it will remain standard. I really didn't want to have to look at aftermar...

Paws aren't very good at turning idle adjusters. What you need is an opposable thumb.

I reckon with some wide bars and a more upright riding positing, it'll handle a treat. It is definately slower to turn than my old slabby, which was fitted with narrow drag bars, but I think the wider bars will really ease up the handling (especially for someone like me who's used to upright bikes)....

I think it's going to be done... Fightering the Storm!

Had it in standard trim for a few months now, but I've finally decided (after much much deliberation) that clip-ons just aren't for me. Even on such a relaxed bike as the Firestorm, my circulation isn't good enough to keep my fingers fed with all that weight resting on them. It's a shame, because on...

I like this place.

a flying finish over the Green ore x roads. All I know is that the Green Ore cross-roads is a major accident blackspot and after a stern talking-to from my boss of the time, I always take it steady over there these days... Go past that way in the car often tho, I often go walking around Priddy / St...

E-bike are very good with mods - the only insurance company I've ever known where mods can be declared on-line and a quote be given instantly, without having to wait for call-backs. I'm also amazed (since I've owned bikes) how much cheaper it is to declare modifications. My old bike was a heavily mo...

Using my Storm as a battering ram to force through traffic every morning, I'm lucky if I get a week to a tank. Approx 20 miles per day, 5 days per week - I reckon I'm getting just under 100 miles to a tank, mostly low-speed city traffic with a few fast overtakes once out on the open roads... Was a b...

'Storm reluctant to start, esp. in cold weather

I've noticed my Storm is always a bit reluctant to start when it's cold. The colder the air, the worse it is for starting. Firstly the choke won't stay open - it has to be held open. Getting the right amount of choke to start without huge backfires can be tricky this way. Secondly, it has a tendency...

Something you want to share with us, Pete..? I used to find my Korg Monopoly rigged up through a PA was good at producing "variable bass tones" (especially when used in polyphonic mode with a slight detune, for that random phasing effect) until Reason came along, with its programmable bass...

I keep clicking on this thread thinking it's something I'd be interested in... If you're really interested, you can make "the world's most powerful vibrator" using a tone generator, a power amplifier, an old bass speaker, a cheap dildo and some epoxy resin. Unfortunately I can't help with...

IMO they are the oply thing that spoils a "fightered" storm. i would quite like that one if it had a decent headlight. I'm tempted to take the fairings off mine and fit flat bars later this year, especially as my neck has been really playing up these last few weeks - I think it's all that...
