i chatted to bloke from FMS who infod me that even going up to 42 on rear would help wheelie etc and not make engine too revvy at high speed. FMS are a great web site and i save £30 on getting new renthal sprokets and a new OSR-7 x-ring chain from demon tweeks prices!!!

larger tank

is it easy to fit a larger tank to my 97 model firestorm? also does anyone know if i changed the km clocks for mph ones,would i have to change anything else or would they fit straight in??? :)

ive done bout 24miles on reserve sitting at 40ish it 4th gear. that was after light coming on at 80mile mark after some vvv hard 2 up riding. just fitted k&n filter, will let you know how she runs (already got carbon cans on!) :twisted:

i just bought a 97 in red 3 weeks ago and it is totaly different to my zx9r. i miss the top end rush, but boy does she fly down where it matters...doing 50mph in 4th, go for an overtake, look down and your doing 110mph.....LOVE IT!!! :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

mines got carbon ones on,with no baffle inside (well,sounds like it aint) and wouldn't change them for quieter ones. but then again,i dont like my neighbours!!! :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

thanks markg, i do love the sound of it with the origional pipes on, but that growl from the carbon race cans do it for me!!!

the v twin noise

is it just me (cos only had bike a week&running it with v v v loud pipes on it) but my vtr sounds like my old in-line four when it was only running on 3 cylinders. am i being paranoid, or do all v twins sound abit like that???? i am a bit thick, so ill send my appologies now :oops:
