The vtr had a fairing which had two colours to it,im guessing bike might have been dropped,a panel repaired and sprayed by someone who was slightly colour blind. sorry if this has been asked before,ive searched the forum and I couldn't find the answer I was looking for,the low fuel warning light, does it light up when the ignition is turned on like a self test of the bulb or not or is shorting it out the only way of checking it works.

thanks for the advice tony.mon,had a good bad day,sorted those wires out,fitted new choke needle valve(the other had seized in,choke wasn't working)finally got everything back together,bike started spot on,then checking over another bodge I noticed before,the tape used by previous owner was burning....

Thanks for your reply AMCQ46, I looked at the wiring diagram,didn't see the fuel level sensor was those 2 colours,because the wires run up the frame by the left side footrest,I was looking at sidestand switch,neutral switch or oil switch areas on the wiring diagram,when the cover comes off Saturday ...

Hi,
could anyone please identify the brown and blue wires in the picture, I believe the green/black one is for the neutral switch,I found them tucked behind the frame.
