Re: Gerald has been to stay.
It's kept outside. I have mice in my garage, trying to keep them out is pointless as it's well ventilated; but they don't bother me so I don't bother them and have never tried getting rid of them. Mouse in the garage better than mouse in the house sorta thing. But mouses living on the jap bike is a ...

Re: Gerald has been to stay.
Wasn't to sure what that meant. Assumed it was a user, but maybe a little google might show it was some wondrous mouse repellent. Seems it's a cannabis strain with mention of smells that mouses don't like, I am just reading the google search results. so I have to sit under the cover and smoke some m...

part number for Honda manual?
I wondered if anyone knew the part number for the manual.
Fancied a paper manual.
I know Suzuki manuals are listed on the bike microfiche, I assumed Honda
manuals were but can’t find them on on line parts thingies?
Maybe I need aVTR microfich!

Re: Old man eyes
Does anyone want five pairs of -2.5x and five pairs of -4.0x glasses? I rather stupidly bought - instead of +, I didn't have my glasses you see[I clearly didn't] When I first started to wear specs I think the quickest I broke a pair was a few seconds: put a new pair on, looked at a rule, put the gla...

Thanks for looking.
I had a look online and couldn’t seen any thicker wall than 16swg.
I really wanted around 12swg maybe 14swg.

Re: Keep the winter rust at bay with ACF-50!
I was’t impressed by it.
It didn’t seem as good as way oil on steel measuring gear.
The wax based ambersil, ensis or rustilo are far better.

Re: Anybody have experience of working with titanium....?
Carbon fibre, you can get a kit and make a mould for pennies. It's come down a lot since I made anything then, resin ~ 20 quid a kilo and fabric ~ 30 quid a metre. You can get fabric much cheaper by contacting a mill that weaves it and buying parts of damaged rolls. The worst bit is the time taken ...

Re: Anybody have experience of working with titanium....?
I bend and form tube for a living and have worked with titanium occasionally. The softer, more malleable grades are quite straightforward I have a 6al4v oil filter housing machined all over, it turns nicely, but the tap stuck when threading it, no way is a tap going any further. Tube us good for th...
