Re: Front sprocket cover removal

Thanks MacV2 for the reply! But...sorry, i'm even more confused...be patient with me... Some people say a zip tie around the piston is the way to go... I suppose you mean, AFTER removing the cover, in order to prevent the piston to jump out. Right? Then I just remove the lever, simple & never ha...

Re: CUTTING OUT WHEN GOING TO IDLE SPEED

Hi guys, on my "new" old-lemon the engine stops quite frequently when idling, both running or when i stop. I had to set the idle to around 1800/1900 rpm to minimize the problem. (thet still happens sometimes). Also, if i accelerate, the bike revs up nicely but when i leave the gas the engi...

Re: Oil filter - which is the right one?!

Thanks a lot!

I was worried that the smaller filter could cause some damage.

So, for the next oil change i will just pick up the cheaper one!

Thanks again

Oil filter - which is the right one?!

Hi guys, i'm a bit confused about which is the right oil filter for my 2001 VTR. Looking at the original Honda spare parts, making a research from my VIN it seems that the standard one cod. 15410-MM9-013 is no more available and it's been replaced by the cod. 15410-MCJ-505. I searched them on intern...

Spare parts collected!

Now, i want to ride at least 1k km with original handlebars (if i can manage the pain!) before proceding with the swap.

In the meanwhile i want to find a way in order to avoid cutting the farings.

Re: Exhaust Recommendation for Firestorm

Have a look at Roads exhaust, really well made, cheap and with omologation (at least here in Italy) https://www.roadsitalia.com/it/1400-honda-vtr-1000-f-roadsitalia They are on my to-do list with a Dyno stage 1, just after the CCT stop mod and handlebars raising. For the V2 i reccomend not to go wit...

Which is the advange of adding weight?!

Hi guys, I've just purchased an old VTR in stock condition, but the ex-owner gave me also a couple of fiberglass additional parts: a lower cowl and a rear fender. Now...the point is...why should i fit theese parts on the bike?! I find the rear fender quite ugly (maybe black it would had been accepta...

New FireStorm-er from Italy

Hello everybody! I'm Def@st from Modena, Italy, and tomorrow i'm going to buy a 2001 yellow VTR 1000 F with 41k km. The bike is completely original (with hystorical certification) except for the front fork springs that are progressive HyperPro and front stainless steel brake lines. I try to introduc...
