talk about bad luck Shaun has gone down with illness so was house bound so i thought would have a go fixing cylinder head,i ended up i ruined the cylinder head. I then went for a total head removal got carbs off first day then went for a break and fell down inside step due to new varifocals, banged ...

i had a snapped stud i tried every thing and eventually fkcude the cylinder head but solved it by bolting a metal plate from the threaded hole above the exhaust p[ort were the frame mount bolts then goes to rad and fairing to the metal plate on the exhaust pipe then tightened the other side exhaust ...

yup 6-8mm are normal thread. 10 and above fine thread please believe before you wrack through lower yoke bolts and please dont run a tap through them. i worked as motorcycle fitter and know 10mm bolts are fine thread

i tried to screw in 10mm bolt wont work i believe japs dont use coarse thread on larger bolts dont ask me why but normal bolt only just moved into thread so unless you force it stripping bolt and bolt hole its no go

i am dependent on the good nature of someone else, if i could take head of i have two sitting on my spares shelf. we are trying to do an on job repair that allows us to leave engine as is . thats the plan exhaust off then tap and if there are any faults alum weld outside its not brazing as such its more like glue in a rod kinda of thing im not in charge of the drilling and tapping Shaun's going to do it for me its not a job i can do with my hands he has already managed to get a large c...

Has anyone tried this stuff (alumiweld i think that is name)just bought some to and strengthen bolt holes when they are re-drill and tapped for the exhaust stud on my front cylinder i thought if holes are not so good i could strengthen them with the low temp alloy brazing rods. The vtr exhaust seems a bit complex. why not run two single pipes one from front cylinder connecting> to silencer another from rear cylinder to silencer is it because this would give odd length pipes and affect performance? i also note no 2 into 1 8O
